Bringing their signature brand of Live American Music and free-with-your-ticket BBQ spread to Godfrey Daniels for a night steeped in roots rock grit and genuine energy.
Formed in 2004, this seasoned band has shared stages with icons like Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, and R.L. Burnside, and played everywhere from Memphis to Europe. With five albums under their belt, they deliver a sound born of taverns, juke joints, and backroom stages—authentic, original, and full of life. Come hear the sound of the neon nights and barroom stories that inspired their name.

Named for the sort of complexion you get from the neon nightly beer lights, Tavern Tan play what we call "Live American Music".This is the sound that used to be standard in taverns, pubs, bars, juke joints, dancehalls, and the local dive in every town and city in America...before the Karaoke machine was created and the theme restaurants took their ugly hold. Tavern Tan formed when some pals finally got together sometime around 2004, with members that have played (individually or collectively) at Gun Clubs, Honky Tonks, Festivals in Europe, NY Studios, down In Memphis TN at Sun Records, and opened for various BIG GAME like Neville Bros, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker (R.I.P.), and R.L. Burnside (R.I.P.), this is the sound of eclectic, original roots music and rock n' roll....anything with a little grit n' soul to it. After five CDs released on Fez Monkey Records and over 15 years, their sound is still going strong. The sound of a small portable drum kit with the guitar amps along the back wall.
