Tautas deju lieluzvedums ir XVI Vispārējo dziesmu un deju svētku kulminācija, godinot gadsimtiem seno tautas deju tradīciju un horeogrāfiju – no vienkāršiem dančiem līdz mūsdienīgām interpretācijām, tostarp arī latviešu diasporas devumu. Uzvedums “Skaista mana tēvu zeme” vēsta par cilvēka saikni ar dabu un aizvedīs skatītājus ceļojumā cauri Latvijas laukiem un mežiem, pakalniem un skaisto jūrmalu.
The Grand Folk Dance Concert is the culmination of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, honoring the centuries-long tradition of folk dance by exploring choreography ranging from simple country dances to modern iterations including the influence of the Latvian diaspora. Skaista Mana Tēvu Zeme, which translates to “My Beautiful Fatherland”, celebrates Latvia’s connection to nature and will take the audience on a journey through Latvia’s fields and forests, rolling hills and beautiful seaside.
