Taupō Heartbeat
Taupō Heartbeat is a free community CPR and heart health initiative delivered by MediCache Ltd to help improve confidence, awareness, and readiness to respond to cardiac emergencies within our community.
Across four free ticketed sessions throughout the day, participants will learn the fundamentals of high-quality CPR before taking part in practical hands-on training using Bluetooth-enabled QCPR manikins providing real-time performance feedback and CPR metrics.
This event is designed for everyday members of the community. No previous experience or training is required.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the fundamentals of CPR and early cardiac arrest response
- Practise hands-on CPR skills using QCPR technology
- Understand what makes effective CPR and why it matters
- Build confidence to act in an emergency situation
- Access free heart health checks provided by the Heart Foundation
- Engage with local community organisations and health services
Sessions are free but ticketed, with numbers capped to ensure a quality hands-on learning experience.
