About this Event
Designed for both local curious coffee drinkers and industry professionals in town for London Coffee Festival, this session explores how flavour, aroma and memory can unlock new approaches to writing and creativity.
Led by Bee Southworth (North Star Coffee Academy) and Lania Knight (The Open University), you’ll move through a series of decaf-only cuppings alongside short, multi-genre writing exercises. Expect a calm, engaging environment where the focus is on exploration rather than perfection - whether you're picking up a pen for the first time or refining an existing practice.
This version of Tasting Notes puts decaf in the spotlight - showcasing the depth, sweetness and complexity possible without caffeine, while creating a more grounded, accessible sensory experience.
The session is designed to be inclusive and neurodivergent-friendly, with a considered pace and space to engage in a way that works for you. All are welcome - from writers and creatives to baristas, roasters and coffee enthusiasts.
