Taste of Oakland: Summer Waterfront Festival

Join us on the Lake Chalet dock for the inaugural Taste of Oakland, a waterfront celebration of the restaurants, bars, and hospitality that make Oakland one of the Bay Area's most exciting food and drink destinations.

For one evening, Lake Chalet transforms into an outdoor tasting festival featuring some of Oakland's favorite restaurants, acclaimed cocktail bars, local spirit partners, live music, and beautiful views over Lake Merritt.

Stroll through a curated lineup of tasting stations featuring signature dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and unique experiences from participating Oakland restaurants and bars. Meet the chefs, bartenders, and hospitality teams behind some of the city's favorite businesses while enjoying an evening of great food, creative drinks, live entertainment, and the beautiful Lake Merritt waterfront.

Taste of Oakland isn't just another food festival, it's an opportunity to experience a hand-selected collection of Oakland's hospitality community in one beautiful waterfront setting.

Instead of traveling across the city, you'll sample signature dishes and cocktails from some of Oakland's most beloved restaurants and bars while meeting the people behind them.

Whether you're a longtime Oakland local or discovering the city for the first time, this is your chance to celebrate the creativity, flavor, and community that make Oakland's dining scene so special.

We're assembling a curated lineup of some of Oakland's favorite restaurants, cocktail bars, and hospitality partners.

Participating businesses and featured spirit partners will be announced as they are confirmed.

Reserved tables do not include admission. General Admission tickets are required for each guest.

Upgrade your festival experience with one of our limited waterfront tables overlooking Lake Merritt. Enjoy a dedicated home base for your group throughout the evening while taking in the best views of the festival and the lake.

Reserved tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to sell out.

Taste of Oakland is a family-friendly event.

Children can enjoy the food tastings, live music, and entertainment throughout the evening.

Guests under 21, as well as adults who prefer not to consume alcohol, will receive thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic mocktail versions of featured cocktails whenever available. Valid government-issued ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages.

Restaurant announcements, participating bars, featured spirit partners, and additional event details will be released as they're confirmed.
