Taste of Ethiopia with Subtext Coffee Roasters

The birthplace of coffee remains to this day the most complex growing country on the planet.

From its domestic coffee culture and consumption patterns as an uncolonized African country, to its unrivaled status as genetic storehouse for the arabica species, the true scope of what makes Ethiopian coffee special is rarely engaged with in specialty coffee.

This year, Subtext Coffee Roasters from Toronto, Canada, purchased over 20 Ethiopian coffees, many of which exemplify the changing landscape of Ethiopian coffee growing, processing, and trading.

Please join us on Saturday, December 7th, for an exclusive tasting with Subtext's co-founder Alex Castellani. He will be giving a 45 minute presentation on Ethiopia coffee and sharing what he learned when he was there earlier this year. Attendees will have a chance to cup 15 unique Ethiopian coffees that Subtext brought in this year.

There will be two sessions on December 7th—9am and 1pm. Each session will be about 2 hours long.
