About this Event

☕ Union Coffee | An Invitation to Taste, Listen, and Reflect

Coffee is never just coffee.
It is land. Labor. Memory. Power. Choice.

You are invited to an exclusive, curated coffee tasting and cultural salon that explores the deeper roots of coffee, trade, and creative exchange—connecting Ugandan farmers with New York consumers through taste, story, and dialogue.

This intimate gathering will feature premium, high-elevation Ugandan coffees, sourced through traceable, fair-trade practices that center farmer agency, dignity, and long-term sustainability. Each cup tells a story—of origin, labor, land, and the people too often erased from global supply chains.

But this is more than a tasting.

This gathering is a convergence of coffee, art, and conversation—inviting guests to engage with:

  • The lived realities of Ugandan farmers
  • How modern markets can be redesigned with balance, accountability, and respect

Through open dialogue, we will explore how intentional trade models can offer a new path forward for U.S.–Africa relations, beginning with Uganda—one of the world’s most under-recognized coffee origins.

🎨 Art as Memory, Coffee as Culture

The session will also include an exclusive preview of new artwork by Iliad Terra, integrating coffee, material ritual, memory, and global interconnection—where art becomes witness, and trade becomes a moral act.

✦ Themes of the Gathering
  • High-elevation Ugandan coffee & sensory storytelling
  • Traceability, fair trade, and ethical sourcing in practice
  • Sovereign, sustainable trade as a model for U.S.–Africa engagement
  • Coffee as culture. Art as memory. Trade as responsibility.

✦ Format

This is a salon-style exchange—bringing together:
coffee professionals, artists, cultural thinkers, and engaged leaders
for thoughtful conversation at the intersection of art, society, and coffee.
