We’ve all heard about and love croffles and cronuts. Because who doesn’t love a good dessert crossover? So, we’re pairing rich, bold Vietnamese coffee with classic French pastry technique live on the Halifax Waterfront.

Chef Guy Pratt, co-owner of Halifax favourite Studio East, is taking over our Demo Kitchen at Taste Asia to create his signature Vietnamese Coffee Crème Brûlée live.

This dish won't be available anywhere else at the festival or on the Studio East menu. So, once these 50 seats are gone, so is your chance to try this velvety sweet masterpiece.

MEET CHEF GUY PRATT

A fourth-generation chef with French Canadian roots, Guy grew up in the kitchen alongside his dad before studying at the Culinary Institute of Canada. Since taking the reins at Studio East in 2019 with his brother André, he’s spent years travelling across Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Cambodia to bring authentic, terroir-driven Asian flavours back home to the East Coast.
