If you have been wanting to deep dive into tarot but don’t know where to start, this is the course is for you!Professional Astrologers and Tarot readers, Lori Kaufman and John Selig are going to take you on the Fool's Journey through the Tarot.
This course is perfect for all levels! The beginner friendly 6-part series is going to break down the cards in a way that is simple and easy to understand but FULL of incredible information with two hours per class of instruction! By the end of the 6 weeks, you will be able to feel confident in your intuition, knowledge, and ability to pull cards for yourself AND provide readings to others.
We will combine numerology, general symbolism, color, the 4 suits/elements, intuition, astrology signs and planetary associations to piece together basic knowledge of all 78 cards from the Raider-Waite Smith tarot deck (the traditional deck and meanings. While we do LOVE some of the more artistic decks they all have their own personal interpretations and that is not the focus of this particular course).
We will also talk about trusting your intuition, how to strengthen it, intuitive reading and how to understand the cards relationship to each other when giving a reading!
Class 1 will focus on Astrology! Astrological sign and planet associations. We will also talk about general symbolism throughout the cards. (This class typically goes a little later, plan to stay 15-30minutes late!) - This pairs well with our astrology course which is happening November 12 - December 17th (all classes are recorded if you want to jump in late or purchase the recordings to be extra ready for Tarot School!)
Class 2 will focus on continuing the conversation about symbolism, and color as we walk through the meanings of the first 11 major arcana cards individually (The Fool - The Wheel of Fortune). Upright and reversed meanings. The majors focus on bigger events that happen in our life that leave a lasting effect, and a break down on the meaning behind the fool's journey.
Class 3 will continue the conversation from class 3 and hit any of the cards we didn't finish talking about. We will focus on the final 11 cards in the major arcana (Justice - The World) (This class typically goes a little later, plan to stay 15-30minutes late!)
Class 4 will focus on the 56 minor arcana cards (minus the court cards for now) upright and reversed meanings, numerology (1-10), elements, suits, and symbolism. The minors are more everyday occurrences or insignificant changes that happen, we will get through as much as possible.
Class 5 will start with any overflow from the minors and will go into detail of the court cards. We will talk about the people that show up, what they symbolize, and how they interact. After court cards we will get into a brief history of the cards, and overarching symbolism within the cards. I will also be bringing some of my favorite decks to learn from for everyone to see/pass around!
Class 6 is the final class! This will be a final understanding of the cards as a story. How to shuffle and pick cards, spreads, where to start when giving a reading, body language, some of my favorite techniques, intuition (types and how to trust and strengthen yours!), the clairs, how to know if the person is going through big change or just feels “stuck”, how to make a basic assumption of what the person is going through before you even start, stories and answering questions! We will finish up by answering questions and I will provide an example reading. We will then pair up and get a chance to practice. I will walk around to help! We will conclude the course with a mini ceremony, check in, and we will pass out certifications of completion! (This class typically goes a little later, plan to stay 15-30minutes late!)
We will be going through every card individually, telling stories, and talking about all of the symbolism. Story telling is the best and easiest way to remember the cards!
Workshops will be 6 back to back Tuesday’s in February and March with the first class Feb 11th.

Workshops will include:
-Your own personal deck to use in the courses and take home to continue practicing with
-A copy of Lori's book "Breadcrumbs from the YOU-niverse"
-A workbook that has been designed and created for this course that includes all of the coursework, handouts, guides, journal prompts, and homework
-A Whatsapp group will be created for the class to communicate during the duration of the program
- All recorded episodes will be posted in this chat so if you miss a class you can get caught up. This means the course can be taken fully online/remote as well!
-20% off any personal Tarot readings with Lori and/or John during the 6 weeks
-A discount on the first monthly Tarot Night that follows the end of Tarot School

**Option to take the course in person or virtually through recordings! All classes will be posted in the group chat so you can catch up on your own time if you have to miss a week or so. Anyone taking the course can reach out with questions at any time as well!
