Tarot for Therapists: a 2.5 hr workshop for mental health professionals

Would you like to begin or expand your tarot or oracle reading practice through the lens of "mental health"? We'll consider how to talk with clients about meaning-making and developing insight through intuitive practices like card divination. Join Prism therapist Nicole Tripp for a relaxed hangout with other therapists and the cards, no experience needed.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you'll learn:

• the difference between tarot and oracle
• exploring grief, loss, and transitions in the tarot and with clients
• each suit's element and relationship to mental health
• using a little parts work to explore reactions/challenging narratives and navigating conversations with clients

By the end, you'll have a better sense of:

• how the cards can map onto our psychological, somatic, and spiritual parts
• how to practice identifying and listening to your intuition, and helping client's learn these skills as well
• whether you feel drawn to tarot, oracle, or both
• how to explore emotions that come up in the meaning-making process

You'll also get to see a variety of decks, have a little time for spontaneous play, and take home some prompts for continuing the work.

Nicole has been practicing social work since 2018, and has been practicing animistic ways of being for much longer. Her tarot and oracle practice is not centered on memorizing meanings, but rather developing long-term relationships with ourselves, the cards, and our own journey of meaning-making and intuition.
