Tarot for Beginners

Welcome to Tarot for Beginners! This class offers a thoughtful, structured introduction to tarot reading. Designed and taught by an English teacher and tarot reader, this class explores tarot through an accessible academic lens. Rather than memorizing card meanings, you’ll learn how tarot works as a symbolic system and how to interpret cards with confidence. Together we will explore the major arcana and read the Fool's Journey story, unpack the structure of the minor arcana, and walk through how to conduct a reading, step by step.

Hand designed worksheets and hands on guided practice will build your skills and breakdown this esoteric art into its academic components :) the second half of the class will give you opportunity to explore tarot through art, journal prompts, and guided tarot spreads to practice with! Questions are encouraged, trying is celebrated, and skills are nurtured. See you there! 😊
