Tarot 102: Transformation, Shadow, and Awakening
October 3rd, 2026: 6-9PM
Required for class:
The original Rider Waite Tarot Deck.
Continue your tarot journey with an in-depth exploration of the second half of the Major Arcana cards (cards 11-21) , where the Fool encounters life's greatest challenges, transformations, and opportunities for growth.
In this intermediate-level workshop, participants will explore Major Arcana cards 11-21, including Justice, the Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, the Devil, the Tower, the Star, the Moon, the Sun, Judgment, and the World. Together, we'll examine themes of change, resilience, shadow work, healing, intuition, and personal awakening through discussion, reflection, and hands-on practice. Participants will deepen their understanding of tarot symbolism, strengthen their intuitive reading skills, and practice interpreting cards within simple spreads.
Part 2 is designed for those who have completed Tarot 101 or have a basic familiarity with tarot, this class offers an opportunity to move beyond memorization and engage with the archetypal wisdom of the cards in a meaningful and empowering way.
Why this course is unique:
It is taught through the lens of an art therapist, which shifts tarot away from prediction and into visual language, symbolism, and psychological meaning-making.
Instead of treating the Major Arcana as something to memorize or “get right,” participants are invited to engage with the cards the way an art therapist engages with an image: as a reflection of emotion, narrative, and lived experience.
Because art therapy is rooted in the idea that images carry meaning beyond words, this class naturally emphasizes what you see, feel, and associate with each card rather than fixed interpretations. That makes the learning more accessible for beginners who might feel intimidated by traditional tarot systems, and more engaging for people who already work with creativity, healing, or introspection.
It also changes the experience of practice. Instead of just “doing readings,” participants are guided to notice patterns, personal projections, and emotional responses.
This class will cover archetypal and Jungian psychology, creative process, and reflective practice,
