About this Event
Join us for a drop-in, open house style engagement session at Wîhkwêntôwin (Oliver) School Gymnasium - 10227 - 118 Street NW to provide feedback on targeted, City-driven rezonings in the Wîhkwêntôwin (Oliver)/124 Street area. The intent of the proposed rezonings is to encourage more housing development and business investment in this important area.
The session is an opportunity to learn about the draft rezoning proposal, including:
- The sites the City is proposing to rezone and why they were selected;
- The new, higher-density standard zones within Zoning Bylaw recommended for each site based on City Plan and district plan policy direction; and
- The Zone modifiers recommended for each site, which will guide the maximum height and footprint of buildings and determine which buildings are required to have ground-floor, street facing business space.
The sites proposed for rezoning were informed by previous engagement feedback and technical and policy considerations. Feedback received at this session will be used to refine the rezoning proposals before taking them to City Council Public Hearing for a decision in 2025.
We encourage you to participate in this conversation and contribute your valuable perspectives.
