About this workshop

Celebrate Marina Square’s 40th anniversary through colour, texture and the simple rhythm of weaving. Explore how individual threads come together to form a fabric, and create a woven keepsake with your own choice of colours and patterns.

What participants will do and learn

Encounter the basics of weaving on a loom. Learn how warp and weft threads work together, practise passing yarn over and under the warp, and experiment with colour and texture to create your design.
What each participant takes home

One handmade woven piece, created during the workshop.

A selection of yarn, materials and tools for use during the workshop, and guided instruction.
Who this workshop is suitable for

Ages 10 and above. Beginners are welcome—no weaving experience needed.

Led by Co:Creation Workshop team, this session offers friendly, step-by-step guidance to help you explore loom weaving and bring your creations to life.

Accessibility or activity conditions to know about
This seated activity involves threading yarn, using weaving tools and scissors, and repeated fine hand movements. Children under 14 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
