Tapestry Jam//2 Year Anniversary

The Tapestry jam is an improvised session curated by Shaunt Raffi. Four musicians are Tapped to participate and remain anonymous from each other and the audience until the day of the performance.

This edition marks the celebration of our 2-year anniversary. The event will take place at CAFETERIA, a renowned venue in Toronto that has become a cornerstone of the city’s electronic music scene. A fundamental aspect of Tapestry Jam is building bridges between different artistic and cultural communities in Toronto to create something truly unique and special. This mission goes beyond the artists we bring together; it also encompasses the spaces we inhabit. Representing live music in a venue traditionally associated with electronic music underscores our commitment to innovation and inclusivity.

This jam came to exist because we want to provide space for further connectedness between all the pockets of music creators in the city. Music has the capability to allow for communication between people to happen in a way where harmony is prioritized and consciously pursued. Even in the pursuit of sound that is angry, sad, confused or scary a sense of harmony is always present. This is a trait about music we want to cultivate in order to further surrender to responsibilities that come with being an artist in a time where people are more disconnected than ever.

The evening will feature 2 45 minute improvised sessions as well as a carefully curated DJ set by your host Shaunt Raffi
