Our Tapas and Tasting Tour series continues with the amazing, New South Catering on Amelia Island. Enjoy passed crunchy crostini with a sensational pimento cheese and topped with a hand-crafted tomato bacon jam as you glide past Fernandina’s shrimp boats, Egan’s Creek, Old Town, and Fort Clinch. A rush of delight washes over you while we look out over the waters for dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, and then wild horses of Georgia’s Cumberland Island.
Live music sets the tone for a low and slow oak-smoked Beeler’s Red Duroc pork shoulder, pulled and piled high on a bun, with fresh slaw and dill pickles. This will be accompanied with customary, but not ordinary, Southern potato salad and baked beans.
While your palate is treated to a beautiful pairing with different varietals of Zinfandel, the sun will fade into twilight over the shimmering waters of the Amelia River.
