TAP Trail Education Day at Cone Park
We'll spend the morning removing debris, trimming overgrowth, and getting the corridor ready for the big day. Simple work, big impact — helping keep the trails safe, fun, and well-maintained for every rider, walker, and runner who uses them.
This event is part of the Trail Adoption Program (TAP) — THOR's initiative that engages volunteers and local organizations as trail stewards. By adopting community trails, participants help maintain safe, enjoyable, and sustainable spaces for all.
TAP EDUCATION & TRAINING
Volunteers will learn how to log hours, understand TAP expectations, and work effectively in teams — building connection and real ownership of the trail.
No experience necessary. THOR will provide guidance throughout the morning, covering tool safety, basic maintenance techniques, and what to look for when caring for your adopted section. You'll be supported every step of the way.
WHAT TO BRING
• Work gloves
• Closed-toe shoes
• Water
• Loppers or hand saws (if you have them)
• Bug spray
We'll kick off at 9:00 AM with a brief safety overview and plan for the day, then break into small teams to get to work. Afterward, stick around to ride, explore, and connect with fellow trail supporters.
