TaoSongs and The Gentle Movement will perform selections from TaoSongs: Songs of the Tao Te Ching, a Horse and Buggy Press designed songbook, setting the timeless classic by the sage Lao Tsu to music for our times. The Tao Te Ching describes the Way of Nature, or the Tao, and gives very practical advice on how to live a Good Life. Accompanied by a video projection of the text and transcription, this musical experience inspires you to stay grounded, observant and aligned with your larger purpose. TaoSongs is a musical project of Durham songwriter, artist, and tai chi teacher Vito Di Bona. Joining in performance as The Gentle Movement will be area musician Mamadou Balde on percussion and jazz musician and Bullhorn Fest founder Josh Zaslow on guitar.
