TAOH Outdoor Gallery ArtWalk

Celebrate the new TAOH Outdoor Gallery with a mural walk! Join artists Sydney Duarte and Rebecca Lipps and ArtWalks CLT for a free guided artwalk on Saturday, September 14 at 2 pm. Let’s celebrate the grand opening of the TAOH Outdoor Gallery with a walk around some street art in Optimist Park and NoDa.

• Explore street art and murals with artists and ArtWalks CLT
• Hear from artists Sydney Duarte and Rebecca Lipps about artist collaborations, the why behind a graffiti park, its goals, and see street art on our guided walk
• Stay for the grand opening of the TAOH Outdoor Gallery and artist’s talk, food trucks, music, and more

This 1-hour ArtWalk begins at the Urban Market District greenway entrance and ends at the TAOH Outdoor Gallery located at 2200 N. Brevard. Gather on the greenway trail around 12:55 pm. Light rail access is from the Blue Line at 25th Street and it is recommended since there is limited parking. This event is FREE but limited spots so rsvp and we'll know you are coming!

Sydney Duarte is a Charlotte and Brisbane based artist, well known for her murals, arts activism, yoga classes, and her positive spirit and energy. Duarte and her company Duarte Designs have murals all over the city. In additiona, Duarte and her partner Treazy are painting murals around the world and transforming Charlotte Charlotte with the Luminous Lane project. Want to know more? Rebecca Lipps is a multifaceted artist and educator living in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2013. Lipps is a muralist with murals in NoDa and Luminous Lane Uptown and she serves on the board of the Talking Walls mural festival. Her objective is to immerse her art in the communities of Charlotte to develop connections among the people of this city. TAOH (The Awakening of Humanity) Outdoor Gallery was founded in 2024 by artist Osiris Rain with the collaborative support of Proffitt Dixon Partners, the Piece for Peace Movement, ArtWalks CLT, and the Charlotte creative community at large. This initiative breathes life into Charlotte’s artistic landscape, serving as the city’s only street art park to reflect the city’s rich cultural diversity and boundless creativity.

ArtWalks CLT is a non-profit organization connecting the community to local public art and artists through free self-guided neighborhood artwalks accessible on your mobile device.
