In She’s Constructing the Exit Signs (Hope & Delusion) Liina Magnea addresses the emotional function of the musical and musical film and how it can offer itself as a coping strategy in hopeless times. The musical asylum penetrates reality, creating a delusional construction of a fairytale world, while the actual surrounding is sad and gloomy.
The alternative reality being created helps the hungry, worn-out protagonist to imagine itself as a character of a fictional narrative where everything is possible – the ultimate escape.

General: The performance lasts about 50-60 minutes and uses English spoken language as well as fictional language. On stage, the performance uses sudden light changes, bright and dark lighting and loud singing.
Combi-Ticket: The performance will take place as a double bill with Songs of the Dopamine Carousel by Bully Fae Collins. This means that when you buy your ticket, you will receive a combi-ticket that allows you to attend both performances. The performances will be shown one after the other. Reserved tickets must be picked up at the box office by 7.30 pm.
Audience area: The audience area on the grandstand is seated. There are two wheelchair spaces and two beanbag seats, which can be reserved or purchased at the online ticket shop or box office, depending on availability.
Early Boarding: If, for artistic reasons, the door to the auditorium does not open until very shortly before the performance begins, there is the option of Early Boarding. This is early admission for all people (especially with visible or non-visible disabilities) who want a specific seat or a more relaxed entry.

In She’s Constructing the Exit Signs (Hope & Delusion) widmet sich Liina Magnea der emotionalen Funktion des Musicals und wie dieses sich in hoffnungslosen Zeiten als Bewältigungsstrategie anbietet. Das musikalische Asyl durchdringt die Realität und konstruiert wahnhaft eine märchenhafte Welt, während unsere Wirklichkeit trist und düster bleibt.
Die alternative Realität, die so geschaffen wird, hilft der ausgehungerten, erschöpften Figur in eine fiktive Erzählung einzutauchen, in der alles möglich ist – die ultimative Zuflucht.

Allgemeines: Die Performance dauert ca. 50-60 Minuten und nutzt englische Lautsprache sowie erfundene Sprache. Auf der Bühne kommen an einigen Stellen aprupte Lichtwechsel, helle und dunkle Beleuchtung sowie und lauter Gesang zum Einsatz.
Kombi-Ticket: Die Performance findet als Double-Bill mit Songs of the Dopamine Carousel von Bully Fae Collins statt. Das heißt, dass Sie beim Ticketkauf ein Kombi-Ticket erhalten, mit dem Sie beide Performances besuchen können. Die Performances werden nacheinander gezeigt. Reservierte Tickets müssen bis 19.30 Uhr an der Abendkasse abgeholt werden.
Publikumsbereich: Der Publikumsbereich auf der Tribüne ist bestuhlt. Es gibt zwei Rollstuhlplätze und zwei Sitzsäcke, die je nach Verfügbarkeit reserviert oder im Online-Ticketshop oder an der Abendkasse erworben werden können.
Early Boarding: Falls die Tür zum Saal aus künstlerischen Gründen erst sehr kurz vor Vorstellungsbeginn öffnet, besteht die Möglichkeit zum Early Boarding. Dies ist der frühe Einlass für alle Menschen (insbesondere mit sichtbaren oder nicht-sichtbaren Behinderungen), die einen bestimmten Sitzplatz oder einen entspannteren Einlass wünschen.
