Tantra is a system for using all of life’s experiences as vehicles for spiritual realization, not dividing the vast range of human exploits into spiritual and “non-spiritual” activities. Tantra see the subtle body as a method of awaking higher consciousness. Tantra works with the chakras, which are subtle energy centers located along a central channel in our bodies. There are seven main chakras, running from the base of the spine up through the crown of the head. Each is associated with different aspects of our being, our life both external and internal.
