These progressive classes cover the essential elements of Argentine Tango and are designed to quickly enable you to enjoy dancing at a tango social (milonga) and be able to improvise with any dance partner by providing understanding of the structure of the dance. Topics include but not limited to: connection, lead/follow techniques, weight transfer, walking in parallel/cross systems, the 8-step basic, spiral/pivot technique, forward/backward ochos, turns, changes of direction, navigation, etiquette, terminology, improvisation, and musicality. Comfortable clothes and shoes leather/suede sole for ease of pivoting are recommended. No pre-requisites. No partner necessary.
