Colgadas laboratory
A monthly space to dive into the world of colgadas in tango!
We’ll meet on the last Thursday of each month with a two-part structure:
🔹 Technical proposal: working on the technical foundations to release and sustain the axis safely.
🔹 Guided exploration: opening the practice to play with different sequences and movement qualities.
There will be a progressive level of difficulty throughout the year. Basic knowledge of steps and pivot technique is required.
Just like The Hanged Man in tarot (Arcana XII) teaches patience, surrender, and a new perspective, colgadas in tango invite us to release control, trust the shared axis, and discover new movement through suspension.
The goal is to sustain a regular practice that will allow you, if you wish, to bring what you’ve learned into the milonga… or simply keep it as a joyful space of exploration..
