Wait, what? What was that plot again?
After Denise Richard’s boyfriend – future Fast and Furious Paul Walker – is killed by a rival gang (well technically he’s mauled by lions but let not split hairs) his brain is kidnapped (brainnapped?) by a mad scientist who puts it in a robot dinosaur for REASONSSSSSS???? Paul then goes on the rampage, stomping and biting everyone involved in his misfortune while trying to reconnect with Denise.
You heard me!
But I’m getting ahead of myself. This is one of those movies that genuinely makes you wonder – HOW ON EARTH DID IT GET MADE?
Well, as you all know, I will have the answers on the night. But as a teaser, this is another work from that RAD BAD or MAD alumni Stewart Raffill, who made everyone’s favourite ET clone, Mac and Me!
The story behind its production is a hoot, which I will tell you in person, but the short version is that Stewart made a gory horror comedy when the producers wanted a family friendly Jurassic lite. They rage edited all the glorious splatter from the final move which made it incoherent and, for a long time, this film was seen as truly terrible.
BUT finally the ORIGINAL GORE CUT has been released and I have it! And it is TRULY TERRIFIC! Or is it? Cause this movie will definitely test us as we decide if its RAD BAD or MAD!
