About this Event
Indigenous Idaho Alliance presents
Tammi’ tetevini, “Ne Hakannai Kimmakkante?”
with author Antoinette Cavanaugh
Join us as we welcome Shoshone-Paiute author and scholar Antoinette Cavanaugh for an evening of storytelling, Western Shoshoni language, and community connection.
This gathering celebrates the beauty of Indigenous childhood, the strength of our languages, and the futurity carried by our young ones. Families, aunties, educators, and little ones are invited to come together in warmth, culture, and story.
This event is free and open to the public. If you’d like to support our cultural programming, donations can be sent to Venmo @IndigenousIdaho or PayPal at [email protected].
About Antoinette Cavanaugh: Antoinette is a PhD candidate in the Human Development and Family Science program in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was born in Owyhee, Nevada and is a member of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation. She holds a BA in Secondary Education from Boise State University, an MA in Educational Leadership & Higher Education, and an MS in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Nevada, Reno.
