The book Azhiperukku consists of 14 short stories covering different social and psychological issues such as: the new collective identity established in our multiracial Singapore; the losing of our memories due to old age; the pain of being separated from families who are oceans away from us; and the conflicts that happen between people of different generations. The characters in these short stories essentially reflect the inner turmoils of the people in our society.
