Tambo's Junior K-9 Academy & Book Launch

Become a Jr K-9 Officer! Complete missions, and be sworn in by Tambo himself. Come meet local author Chris Bingham and celebrate his book.

FREE EVENT! Become a Junior K-9 Officer at MacGregor’s Restaurant in Havre de Grace as we celebrate the launch of K9 Tambo: A Hero’s Story by local Havre De Grace author Chris Bingham! Young cadets will complete interactive Junior K-9 Academy missions including agility training, scent detection, focus challenges, and our Courage Corner before being officially sworn in by K9 Tambo himself.

Each child who completes the academy will earn an Official Junior K-9 Cadet Card during a memorable swearing-in ceremony. Families can also enjoy storytelling excerpts from the book, photo opportunities, refreshments will be available for prepurchases and also onsite. This free community event celebrates courage, kindness, teamwork, and the special bond between K-9 officers and their partners. Recommended for ages 3–10, but all ages are welcome! Please be sure to register for each person participating and attending.
