The Tallahassee Civic Chorale presents its spring concert Our Voice: Words from Women on May 2, 2023, 7:30 PM in the Turner Auditorium at Tallahassee Community College. The concert features choral music of text written by women poets, such as Maya Angelou, Emily Dickinson, and Sara Teasdale and by women composers. Each piece will be introduced by prominent women from the Tallahassee community, such as Meg Baldwin, former executive director of Refuge House, Marjorie Turnbull, former state representative, and Dr. Diane Roberts, professor and WFSU contributor, to name a few, and the incomparable Avis Berry, guest soloist. Our concert partner is 100+ Women Who Care, established by Virginia Glass. Plan to attend the dessert reception immediately following the concert.
