Talking About Feeding Babies and Little Kids

A free course for anyone who works with parent, carers, babies or little kids in Darwin and Palmerston (NT). The course focuses on feeding babies and little kids. The course has an emphasis on developing skills to further counsel and support parents.

Content is as follows

• Breastfeeding support
• Food for infants
• Counselling skills

The course is modelled on content developed by the WHO in 2009 (infant feeding counselling course). The course was redeveloped for the NT context in 2012 (talking about feeding babies and little kids). Some elements have been changed and updated for evidence available in 2024 however most of the content is true to the original course.
