About this Event

One of the greatest joys of reading is the opportunity to share and exchange ideas with fellow book lovers. A text truly comes alive when viewed through different lenses; conversations flow, and we walk away realizing we’ve read the exact same book in entirely unique ways.

This time, we invite you to read Nation of Strangers by Ece Temelkuran and join the discussion. The book explores the experiences of migrants and refugees, examining the true meaning of belonging in an increasingly divided world. Together, we will reflect on borders, identity, displacement, and the human stories behind migration, while discussing the protection of human rights and our collective responsibilities toward those seeking safety.

Ultimately, this conversation challenges us to question who gets to be considered an "insider" or an "outsider," and what solidarity, dignity, and human rights should mean in practice.
