This one-day Talk for Reading workshop explores teaching reading comprehension in a clear and logical sequence following the Talk for Reading approach.

Talk for Reading is an instructional framework to support whole class instruction and explicit modelling of reading; including effective guided and independent comprehension practices with the systematic examination and exploration of high-quality texts.

This approach has been developed and piloted in schools in both the UK and Australia, and this workshop will demonstrate a variety of techniques and instructional strategies. This workshop provides participants a practical approach that can be immediately adopted in classrooms.
