Guest Soprano Emily Truckenbrod has been working with Brightmusic's Katrin Stamatis to record music inspired by women poets such as Emily Dickinson and Christina Rossetti. In addition to contemporary composers, this concert also features works from the Romantic era (Strauss and Dvořák). Program:
- Lowell Liebermann, Sonata for Violin and Piano, No. 1, Op. 46
- Ruth Schonthal, Sonata for Violin and Piano
- Eric Ewazen, Three Lyrics of Edna St. Vincent Millay (for soprano and piano)
- Sarah Hutchings, Vestige of a Woman (poetry by Christina Rossetti) (for soprano and piano)
- Lori Laitman, Between the Bliss and Me (lyrics by Emily Dickinson) (for soprano and piano)
- Richard Strauss, Morgen! (for soprano, violin, and piano)
- Antonín Dvořák, Songs My Mother Taught Me (for soprano, violin, and piano)
- Elizabeth Haskins, My Garden (for soprano, violin, and piano)
