Looking for a fun, free, educational, and kid-friendly event?
Tales from Ananse’s Web: A Readers Theater will be hosted on October 22nd and November 5th from 4-5pm at the Joplin Public Library! This is a great chance to introduce your child to new cultures along with boosting their reading skills. They will have the chance to experience the story of Ananse’s travel to The Land of Idiots, a tale from West African folklore, first published by Yaw Asare. There will be a mini history presentation about Ghana and our main character, Ananse! After that, the kids can participate in some crafts/coloring, and then the group reading will begin! We hope to see you there :)
