About this Event
Mind Over Manner takes great pleasure in presenting a live Neurodiversity workshop for the Auckland Public hosted by Auckland Theatre Company and Nightsong’s inspiring production of Peter Pan.
This free neurodiversity workshop is brought to the public with the generous support of the Red Rose Foundation.
Mind Over Manner workshops use the power of theatre to realise the potential of Differently Wired Minds. We introduce participants to an alternative way of understanding so many people who sense and learn differently, often diagnosed (or not diagnosed) with Neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and others). Alternatively, we call this Takiwātanga - those who live in their own space and time.
With our experienced and diverse team of actors we show how a person's sensory overwhelm and cognitive relationship to the world can often result in what looks like rude, shutdown, irresponsible or confused behaviour.
Our methodology brings a fast track identification, transparency and collective recognition of the current human state, it reframes perspective and regenerates a new relationship to neurodiversity.
We hope to see you there!
