Level 2: The next step in your training, focused on your creative impulse, responsiveness and getting out of your head. Build instinct, presence and truthful connection.
This 10-week course builds on the work developed in First Take and is designed for those who already have a basic understanding of acting for screen. We run three courses throughout the year, on Monday evenings, 7.00pm-9.30pm.
Here, the focus shifts from structure to spontaneity. You’ll explore impulse and emotional connection, learning to respond truthfully without relying on a script. The work becomes more instinctive and more personal, moving you closer to what it means to be fully present in performance.
You will be introduced to early Meisner-based repetition and ensemble work that sharpens your focus and deepens your ability to listen and respond in the moment.
