It’s past time to complete your project, pursue that job, or run after your dream.

Individuals who are self-employed, work alone, or operate as creatives often do not have people to whom they can look for support. This may lead to a delay in acting on the opportunities that are presented to us. We may spend time second-guessing our decisions or over-analyzing a problem until there’s no decision left to make because the opportunity is gone.

We’re going to tackle procrastination head on by putting our words into immediate action. This event is not meant to motivate and excite you about the possibilities and then send you home with a "nice" feeling. This will be a day we commit and follow through.

If you’ve been wondering how to reset your mind to take on the daunting project you're facing, then join us in Virginia Beach as we “Take the Next Step.” After we hear from our speaker, LTC Cleola M. Davis, USA, ret., we will navigate a ropes course with zip lines. (No prior experience necessary) Once you leave the course, you'll feel ready to take on anything!

Where: Virginia Beach Adventure Park

When: 9am – 1:30pm

Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026

The speaker will present about 9:30am, and we will start briefing for the course at 10:30am. You may choose to participate on as many courses as you can complete within your 3-hour window.

This event is open to adults who would like to face a challenge with others who are doing the same. Additional information and waivers will be sent to registrants. We’ll see you at the park!
