Sharing her testimony through her book "Take The Mask Off", Latoya has received hundreds of testimonies and stories from so many women worldwide who were inspired to live their truth after reading her transparency, vulnerabilities and struggles. This huge response ignited a fire to expand the vision and create a retreat for ladies who need an outlet to really Take the Mask Off and find their purpose and position in life.

The weekend of festivities at Legacy Lodge include:

It’s an honor and a pleasure to introduce you all to one of my guest speakers for the Take The Mask Off Retreat Tasha McDonald Scott! .

Tasha M. Scott is an Independent Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team. Her responsibilities include Executive Leadership Training, Coaching, and Keynote Speaking nationally and internationally. She is also a Certified D.I.S.C. "Personality Assessment" Consultant under the Maxwell brand. In addition, Tasha owns Maximized Growth, LLC where she serves nonprofits, state agencies, and for-profit businesses of all sizes through workshop facilitation, leadership training, team development, and executive coaching. Tasha also serves numerous educators, including the Alabama State Department of Education, through customized courses and training programs specific to leadership, communication, and personal growth. She is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery, Class XXXIII, and was recently selected as a member of Leadership Alabama, Class XXXI. Tasha thrives on helping individuals and organizations bridge communication gaps that lead to progressive growth.

I’m a retired US Army Veteran, but currently still serving on active duty as a Soldier in the Army of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I’m a proud Wife, Mother of three children, and Grandmother of two grandchildren.

In early 2015, I created a Vision Board that assisted me in focusing on my goals, and changed my mindset, which led to accomplishing goals I once thought were unattainable. For example, I obtained My Associates of Arts Management with Honors in August 2016. It made me realize that in today’s society, there are so many distractions and mental barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential.

On November 7, 2015, I completed the volunteer training at the Huntsville Downtown Rescue Mission. During the tour, it sadden me to see so many women and children living at the facility. In fact, I cried the entire time as I looked in the rooms that reminded me of Army barracks. After leaving, I instantly knew I wanted to do more than just go serve food or donate clothing. I wanted to make a difference; an impact in the lives of the women at the Shelter. God revealed to me that they lacked vision for their lives and that He was sending me to do vision boards with them. I felt so unqualified to speak to the women. I continued to pray and seek God. I begin to keep a journal of the things the Holy Spirit revealed to me. I asked God to give me a clear sign if this is what He wanted me to do with the women. The day I went to the Downtown Rescue mission to talk with the Director over the Women’s Program, I couldn’t believe that behind her taped to her cubicle was the exact same sign I had in the front of my binder. It was written, I have a plan for you, do you trust me. – God. I begin to cry because at that moment I knew was at the right place and God was about to do something amazing in the lives of the women.

In November 2016, I became the CEO and Founder of Vision Board, Inc., a non-profit 501 c (3) organization birthed from Habakkuk 2:2-3. It has changed the lives of so many women and given them hope of a future. Some have obtained employment, housing, and received their dream job.

I partnered with the Huntsville Downtown Rescue Mission and helped women in the 12-month Drug Recovery Program from January 2017 – March 2018. I was a Board of Director for Fresh Start Life Recovery and Transitional Program (Huntsville, AL) from May 2018 – August 2019. I assisted women of domestic violence and survivors of human trafficking. In addition, I work with multiple youth groups within the Huntsville community. I help them all build positive self-esteem, develop moral and ethical values, assist them with goal setting and developing a strategic plan for their future. I provide guidance on how to create a Vision Board and inspire everyone to pursue their dreams through self-empowerment, motivation, purpose, and accountability.

I was honored as a 2018 Leader who Inspires by Alabama Fashion Alliance in March 2018, selected as the Psi Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority 2019 Woman of the Year in March 2019, a finalist for the 2019 Catalyst Entrepreneur Award for People Choice in March 2019. Also, I was honored by the nonprofit organization, Real Fathers Making a Difference as their 2019 Community Gamechanger .

​I’m very passionate in reminding individuals they are created on purpose for a purpose. I travel and conduct Vision Board Workshops to spread the good news to many that ‘God has a plan for your life and, your Vision is fueled by your Faith.’ I will continue to help others dream again and snatch their dreams back one by one.

I’m honored that this beautiful WOG accepted the invitation to be my Keynote Speaker for the Take The Mask Off Retreat! I’m excited and can’t wait for you all to meet Pastor Tonda West.

Tonda West is an anointed speaker who proclaims the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity and soundness. For the last 16 years, she has served as the Executive Pastor of the Fountain of Hope Praise and Worship Ministries. On February 3, 2020, Tonda West was consecrated and installed as the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Hope Praise and Worship Ministry. The ministry of Pastor West, is encapsulated through Luke Chapter 14 and verse 23: “and the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Throughout her God ordained ministry, Pastor West has touched the lives of many through the gift of prophecy, words of exhortation, and revelation knowledge.

Under the apostolic covering of Presiding Prelate Chester Bell and the New Deliverance Fellowship, Pastor West has grown significantly as a servant leader and minister of the gospel. Through the in-depth teachings of Apostle Chester Bell, Pastor West has developed as a teacher, and Pastor. Currently, she serves as the National Executive Pastor of Protocol for the New Deliverance Fellowship. Additionally, she holds a position on the state of Alabama District Board of Consecration and Licensure for New Deliverance Fellowship. Also, with great pleasure and honor she humbly served as the chairperson of the 2018 Convocation planning committee for New Deliverance Fellowship.

In addition to her spiritual quest, understanding “behaviors” and the “psyche of man” has always fascinated Pastor West. To answer the unanswered questions related to “why we behave the way that we behave,” Pastor West has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and an Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health from Auburn University at Montgomery.

Pastor West has met the licensure requirements for the state of Alabama in the counseling profession and is currently on a path to pursue national credentialing in counseling. Pastor West is the owner of Kairos Counseling Center LLC. She provides counseling services to children and adolescents with emotional, and behavioral challenges that impede their daily functioning. Pastor West utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Play Activities. She has received training in psychological test and assessments, and suicide prevention and awareness. When the need arises, she provides counseling services to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

Pastor West wears many hats gracefully and with much humility, she is a community servant which is evidenced by her past positions on the following non-profit and community Board of Directors and affiliations: Junior League of Montgomery, Alabama Region of American Red Cross, Family Sunshine Center, Robert E. Lee High School Hall of Fame Committee, and Leadership Montgomery Class XXVII, Vice-President of the board of directors for NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Health) Montgomery affiliate, Montgomery District Attorney’s Task Force on Elder Abuse, and Brantwood Children’s Home. Pastor West is a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society for Counseling, American Psychological Association, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

While all of the aforementioned accomplishments are important to Pastor West, her greatest joy and source of strength is found within her family. Pastor West enjoys intellectually stimulating conversations with her daughter, Tasharia Harris, and critical thinking, debatable moments with her son, Joshua West. Pastor West readily acknowledges the supportive role of her husband Matthew West and his unwavering, tireless contribution to her current and future endeavors.
