OUR SECOND ANNUAL TAKE A KID FISHING DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR September 29th! Fishing Will begin for the kids at 9am and pass will be valid until 4pm. THE KIDS FISH FREE!!!!! FIRST 50 KIDS RECIEVE A FREE FISHING ROD!!!!!! There will be fun educational booths from multiple oranizations from Okaloosa County Coastal Resources to the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and many more! We will have Florida Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement on hand to meet the kids and teach the importance of fishing regulations. There will be fishing instruction by some of our most well respected and knowledgable local fisherman. Along with Social media superstar and local fisherman AnglerUp With Brant. Fun intreactive games with our pier staff! A Full concession stand powered by, Little Painting & Maintenance. There will be random giveaways through out the day from multiple local businesses such as, Wild Willy's Adventure Zone, KB MAKERS MARKET, and of course The Island Pier. Kids will be given a wrist band for Free Fishing from 9am-4pm
Parents wanting to fish with their kids, will still need to pay the daily fishing admission.
50 Free Rod combos will be given away to the first 50 Kids. This is made possible by our sponsors. THANK YOU
We will have Free Rods to use and bait on a first come first serve basis. This is also made possible by our incredible sponsors!
Parents simply watching their kids fish, will not be charged the daily walking fee.
Concession stand with Burgers, Hot dogs, drinks and snacks will be available as well, while supplies last. This is made possible by the best handyman remodel company in the tri-county area, Little Painting and Maintenance!
This event is ideal for ages 5-16.
Last year in our first ever "Take A Kid Fishing Day" we had 283 Kids!!!!! Let's see if we can beat that!
