Each May, the Taiwanese Association of Greater Seattle proudly presents an outstanding performance to mark this special occasion. This year, we are thrilled to welcome Ten Drum, a renowned percussion group from Taiwan, to join the celebration!

Taiwanese American Heritage Week was initiated by the Formosan Association for Public Affairs (FAPA) and proclaimed by the U.S. government in 1999 to honor Taiwanese American culture on the week of Mother's Day, as part of AAPI Heritage Month. Join us for a feast of culture, performances, and community as we celebrate Taiwanese heritage and strengthen cultural ties between Taiwan and the U.S.!

每年的五月，大西雅圖台灣同鄉會都會邀請傑出的台灣表演團體來到當地，和大家一起慶祝這個特別的節日。今年我們邀請到著名的「十鼓擊樂團」來和大家分享我們獨特的台灣文化！
台美人文化傳統週是由「台灣人公共事務會（FAPA）」所發起，於1999年正式由美國政府頒定，在五月亞洲太平洋文化月母親節的那一週，就是屬於台美人的一週。請加入我們，一起來享受屬於台灣人的文化，讓台美之間的文化交流更加強韌！

Ten Drum Art Percussion Group was founded in 2000 with a mission to share Taiwanese culture and preserve the art of drumming. The name "Ten" in Mandarin characters symbolizes a pair of crossed drumsticks, representing unity, strength, and boundless energy.

Over the years, the group's innovative musical creations have captivated audiences worldwide. Drawing inspiration from Taiwan’s landscapes, local themes, and diverse ethnic percussion traditions, Ten Drum has redefined the art of drumming—blending tradition with modern artistry to create dynamic and mesmerizing performances.
In 2012, the group launched a film project to preserve a century-old sugar factory and established Cross Metal Band, an ensemble that fuses modern rock with powerful drumming. This groundbreaking fusion has allowed them to push artistic boundaries and explore new creative expressions.

「十鼓擊樂團」成立於2000年春天，『傳創臺灣本土文化，發揚鼓樂藝術薪傳』是樂團最大的發展目標。「十」字代表著鼓棒交疊，匯集十方的能量，共同凝聚團結的力量。

多年來，樂團傳創的音樂作品深受觀眾的喜愛，以在地的題材、風景、多樣化民族擊樂的元素，豐富了傳統擊樂原有的面貌，更令社會大眾驚豔——原來『鼓』是如此的多元及精彩！為守護百年糖廠，樂團曾發起電影拍攝，並於2012年成立「手合鐵鼓樂團」，風格以原創音樂為主，融合現代搖滾曲風及震撼鼓樂，創造出全新的跨界音樂藝術風格。

Their 70-minute performance, Taiwan Pulse, is a vibrant fusion of percussion, traditional instruments, and rock music, offering a fresh interpretation of Taiwan’s musical heritage. Inspired by the island’s breathtaking scenery and rich culture, the show delivers an exhilarating audiovisual spectacle. Centered around the theme of "Momentum," it pulsates with infectious rhythms and electrifying energy, embodying Taiwan’s bold creativity, vitality, and fearless spirit.

本次演出全長約70分鐘，節目靈感來自臺灣的自然風光與傳統文化，結合鼓樂、傳統樂器與現代搖滾音樂，以全新創意詮釋臺灣的音樂故事。打造出一場震撼的視聽饗宴，充分展現臺灣本土音樂文化的多元性與生命力。節目以「躍動」為主題，透過節奏感鮮明的音樂與表演，呈現充滿張力的視覺效果，象徵臺灣充滿動力、勇往直前的精神。
