Taiwan to Thames: The Journey Extends 台灣與牛津的未竟之旅

音樂是時間的藝術，而時光如河，因此，每一段音樂緣分，都有自己的流向。有些在同一座城市裡悄悄萌芽，有些則跨越海洋，在彼岸再次匯聚。這次一起演奏的四位好友：敏而、郁雯、奕寧，與 Daniel正是被這樣的河道溫柔牽引著，從台灣到英國，從過去的學生時期，到今日的牛津。

奕寧與郁雯從高中一路到大學，是在青春與樂聲中並肩成長的老朋友；敏而與郁雯則在音樂裡相知相惜，成為彼此的伴侶；奕寧、敏而與郁雯又因台大交響樂團共享了無數排練與演出的記憶，那些在台北留下的和聲，如今仍在心底迴盪。透過指導教授 Daniel Grimley 的介紹，如今在牛津攻讀博士的學弟梓成(Daniel Lei)，如同一股清新的泉源，以他的學識與氣質豐富了我們的音樂故事。也正因為他的加入，讓我們得以在歷史悠久、連韓德爾都曾登台的 Holywell Music Room，實現共同舉辦音樂會的夢想。

Music is an art of time, and time flows like a river. Every musical encounter follows its own current—some quietly take root in the same city, while others travel across oceans before converging once more. The four friends performing together today—Min-Erh, Yu-Wen, Yi-Ning, and Daniel—have been gently carried by this river, from Taiwan to the United Kingdom, from their student days to the present moment in Oxford.

Yi-Ning and Yu-Wen have journeyed side by side since high school, growing through youth and music; Min-Erh and Yu-Wen found in each other a companion shaped by shared musical devotion; and Yi-Ning, Min-Erh, and Yu-Wen built countless memories through rehearsals and performances with the NTU Symphony Orchestra—harmonies born in Taipei that still echo within them today. Through the introduction of Professor Daniel Grimley, Daniel Lei, now studying his DPhil at Oxford, joined this story like a fresh current, enriching it with his knowledge and kindness. He made it possible for us to realise a dream: to perform together in the historic Holywell Music Room, where even Handel once stood.

We are grateful to our families, whose support has steadied every step we take; to all the friends who helped both front-of-house and behind the scenes; and to Jesus College for providing the practice rooms that made our rehearsals and preparations smooth and joyful.
