Taisho Fashion in Demon Slayer

Come join us at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches for a unique event celebrating the fashion of the Taisho era in the hit anime Demon Slayer! Demon Slayer isn’t just a hit anime — it’s also a fascinating window into Japan’s early Taishō era (1912–1926). This event will give fans in Austin a chance to see how real history shaped the world of Demon Slayer. The Taisho era is known to have a unique style of traditional and western mixture in the fashion- called Taisho Roman. The event highlight how the unique fashion is reflected in the anime.

What to expect:

• Presentation on Taisho Fashion and Demon Slayer
• Mini Fashion Show on "wayo-secchu" style (hybrid of Japanese traditional and modern style)
• Live performance on hit songs from Demon Slayer

Costumes and cosplay are welcome! The more creative, the better. The first 50 guests who come in Demon Slayer costume or mix traditional Japanese items into their outfit (wayo-secchu stye) will receive a special Japanese snack from Asahi Imports.
