On Friday May 15, Bierock has a twin-bill of music genius comin' at ya.Starting the festivities is the return of Tail Light Rebellion with a headlining slot from Hotdish.
Hot Dish is a five-piece alt-country band serving up hot licks and hotter looks. They play a mix of originals and classics, ranging from rootsy twang to modern country rock.
The lineup includes drums, bass, two electric guitars, and pedal steel — a full, dynamic sound built to get boots tapping and dancers moving.
Meanwhile, Tail Light Rebellion makes a tour stop at Bierock.
In their own words, “Tail Light Rebellion is an amalgamation of roots music genres, incorporating styles from Irish, Slavic, Canadian, and American folk music. Started as a one man band, this project blossomed into what is now a folk dance band that has been called a melding of Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, and The Pogues.
“Consisting of an acoustic guitar player who sits upon a homemade suitcase drum kit, and accordion/keyboard—the rich tones, moving rhythms, dynamic leads, and righteous harmonies will not disappoint.”
