Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month at NFM! The humble and delicious Taco offers the world so much and asks for little more than a tilted head. NFM is happy to be hosting another a taco‑filled festival with vendors, entertainment, and activities the whole family can enjoy!

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage month, all ticket proceeds will be donated to local non-profit, Central Avenue Betterment Association. Their mission is to improve the quality of life and economic development of the Central Avenue Area and its territory of operation. Support and enjoy a variety of local food and drink from vendors found at La Placita Market hosted by the Central Avenue Betterment Association!

• 1:45pm to 2:30pm - Beat the Heat: Hot Sauce Eating Challenge
• 2:30pm to 3:30pm - Grupo Folklorico Alam Tapatia KC

Chicano Center of the Arts will be onsite running a crafting station for all ages!

- Get Sauced! Participants will be given 8 plastic containers with 15ml of sauce in each container. Participants will also receive one wimp chip per round to help buffer the spice.

- Taste the Heat! Each round, participants will dispense the entire contents of one container into their mouth. Participants must last one minute after swallowing before having the option to move on to the next round.

- Stay or Go? If participants choose not to move on, they can eat their wimp chip and move to the weak sauce table to recover with snacks and drinks.

- No Pain, No Gain! As the sauces get hotter, the prizes get bigger! For each conquered round, participants will receive a NFM gift card.

Must be 18 years or older to win and have not won a prize in the past 60 days. Release forms must be signed prior to participation. Allergies must be disclosed to NFM staff during registation, if any, and confirm allergeis on release forms.
