Meet Clay Winder

From a young age, Clay Winder's passion for real estate was evident, and over the years, he has transformed that passion into a thriving career. With an unwavering commitment to helping individuals succeed in buying and selling real estate, Clay has helped hundreds of families build wealth through homeownership.

Clay is the co-founder and and CEO of the Wakara Real Estate Fund, which focuses on BRRRing (Buy, Renovate, Rent, Refinance) vanilla, easy-to-rent homes in working-class America. The fund buys properties in disrepair, renovates them to create value, and then rents them out for excellent cash flow. The primary demographic for renters includes military vets, factory workers, and school employees, resulting in a stable rental market with less turnover and consistent cash flow.

Clay is also a homegrown Realtor with a deep-rooted connection to the Wasatch front, Clay has gained a reputation among his peers as one of the most knowledgeable neighborhood experts. He embarked on his real estate journey in 2006, obtaining his license, and subsequently pursued a bachelor's degree in Public Law from UVU in 2010. His dedication to continuous improvement led him to become a licensed real estate broker in 2011 and a real estate continuing education teacher for Utah in 2012. In 2020, he proudly graduated with a Master's in Real Estate Development from the esteemed University of Utah.

​Clay also spearheads one of Utah's most successful residential real estate sale teams, the Red Sign Team. Additionally, he holds the position of franchise owner for Keller Williams Westfield Real Estate and Keller Williams Argentina Region, showcasing his dynamic leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Moreover, Clay is a co-owner of the thriving real estate investment company Red Sign Investments.

​Beyond his achievements in brokerage and investments, Clay has strategically acquired and manages real estate rental properties across multiple states, displaying his keen eye for profitable ventures. Furthermore, he indulges in his adventurous spirit as a co-owner of a fishing lodge, Fundo Los Leones, nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Patagonia, Chile.

​Despite his remarkable achievements, Clay remains grounded in the beauty of Utah Valley, where he currently resides. His dedication to the real estate industry and his community is rivaled only by his passion for exploring the ocean's depths as a scuba diving enthusiast.

Cody's passion for real estate began during his time managing and running a family construction company. With ten years of experience in construction, ranging from residential projects to small commercial endeavors, Cody developed a keen interest in buying and flipping homes. After obtaining his real estate license, he has been involved in numerous home flips both in Utah and out of state. He loves revitalizing homes and bringing them back to life. With his extensive background in construction, Cody excels at helping buyers understand what to look for in a new home and advising sellers on which projects to tackle to maximize their profit.

Cody is also the co-founder and manager of the Wakara Real Estate Fund, which focuses on BRRRing (Buy, Renovate, Rent, Refinance) vanilla, easy-to-rent homes in working-class America. The fund buys properties in disrepair, renovates them to create value, and then rents them out for excellent cash flow. Cody enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his two boys, Cooper and Lincoln. His hobbies include working on and enjoying old cars, watching Jazz games, and spending time with family and friends.
