Hakim THE PHOENIX is an electrifying singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer from Lagos Nigeria whose artistic vision transcends boundaries. Born Hakeem, he adopted the moniker "THE PHOENIX" as a symbol of his fiery passion for music.
Hakim's music embodies a unique blend of soulful melodies and infectious beats, reflecting his diverse influences ranging from R&B to Afro fusion ,Pop and dance music. As a songwriter, he weaves intricate narratives of consciousness ,love , resilience, and self-discovery into his lyrics, connecting deeply with his audience.
JAKUWORLD is a conscious Jazz Rap artist who experiments with the sounds of JazzRap, Grime, R&B and Punk, his lyricism switches between raw reflections on Britains social and political climate, and explorations of smooth sensual poetry that celebrate the beauty of life.
Raised in the south West of England, living in Bristol and Frome, Jaku spent his early years honing his craft on the festival circuit with his first bands Gundhi Brothers and Alien Jakes. He has regularly held down shows at Boomtown, Shindig and Glastonbury Festival for the last ten years, as well as performing in Germany, Italy, Croatia and Bali
