Tablao Flamenco: An Evening of Duende
About this Event
Join Flamenco Pittsburgh for our final tablao of the year, an evening of live flamenco celebrating duende -the depth of feeling, spontaneity, and emotional power at the heart of this art form.
We’re thrilled to perform at Alphabet City / City of Asylum for the first time, bringing our year to a close at this unique Pittsburgh venue.
The evening features guitarist Ricardo Marlow, singer José Moreno, dancers Sara Jerez and Mariana Gatto-Duran, and flutist Erik Lawrence. Alongside our guest artists will be the Flamenco Pittsburgh Ensemble including Abha Bais, Valentina Beltran, Susan Englert, Carolina Loyola-Garcia, and Athicha Muthitacharoen.
We’re especially pleased to welcome José Moreno and Mariana Gatto Duran for their Pittsburgh debut. Together, these artists will bring an evening of music, singing, and dance that celebrates the many dimensions of flamenco.
Make a night of it! Arrive early and enjoy dinner at Cucina Alfabeto, located at Alphabet City. The restaurant offers full-service dining, so you can enjoy a meal and drinks before the show. Reservations are recommended at cucinaalfabeto.com.
Come celebrate the end of the year with us and experience the duende of flamenco live. We look forward to sharing this special evening with you!
