From live performances to interactive art installations and a special low rider cars section, this event has something for everyone. To celebrate April as Arts, Culture, and Creativity month in CA., The dA Center for the Arts, will be hosting the TA-dA Festival: A Pomona Palooza of Total Arts, Culture, & Community on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 3 PM - 9 PM on Main Street between 2nd & 3rd in the heART of the Pomona Arts Colony. The festival will lift and celebrate our local artists with two community sound stages - A Main SoundStage with performances featuring Pomona Artists - Ignatius & Friends, dA Mini Mariachis, Sounds of Pomona, special guest Timba Tumbao and dA Music Art leaders’ band called BLUSH ! An unplugged Street Stage featuring traditional Korean dance by KAYPA, Pomona High Schools Ballet Folklórico, a flower power fashion show by Pomona Native Mariana Medina, and the De Colores Puppet Show! Aside from the live performances, there will be Interactive Imagination Station Art Booths featuring The dA ArtBrdge Outreach Art leaders to guide all ages and all abilities through hands-on projects, over 20 curated artisan vendor booths, an array of LowRider Cars curated by Pomona Native David Perez, and a variety of food by Pomona’s own Borreguitas vegan and vegetarian and Kiwanis group.
This will all take place outside The dA on Main Street between 2nd & 3rd & in the parking lot

De Colores: De Colores Puppet Show engaes age 3 + year olds to engage with dA puppet Lola the Lion who loves to read stories, sing songs, move and wiggle and create art projects The program prioritizes early childhood development activities.
KAYPA: The Korean American Youth Performing Artists is an amazing non-profit organization that is led under the direction of JaeEun Park Lee and is rooted in Southern California. The organization focuses on enriching the community through Korean traditional dance and modern k-pop dances. KAYPA provides its members the opportunity to further educate themselves about their Korean heritage through dance, as well as share their culture with others.
Ignatius & Friends: Ignatius & Friends is a local Pomona group led by artist/rapper and community leader Ignatius Kabuye. They are an independent artist that creates music that tells his authentic and personal stories speaking strictly from the heart in all his songs.
Pomona High: Ballet Folklórico: Pomona High School Ballet Folklórico led by their director Cesia Suchite is a traditional Latin American folk dance group showcasing their culture through their traditional style of dance and vibrant colored costumes. Baile Folkórico often incorporates ballet characteristics like pointed toes and exaggerated movements, showcasing the diverse regional traditions of Latin America.
dA Mini Mariachi: The dA Center for the Arts Mini Mariachi program intends to provide students from kindergarten through sixth (6th) grade with instrument lessons, musical knowledge (theory), and experience in performance. Students have the opportunity to choose to learn the violin, trumpet, guitar, vihuela, or guitarrón, and every student is given the opportunity to learn Mariachi vocals. The group takes part in at least ten performances a year that range from house party events to being the opening act at the Mariachi Plaza Festival. Mini Mariachi is a vital part of what makes the dA and keeps their culture alive by sharing this beautiful music with future generations and our community!
Mariana’s Flower Power Fashion Show: Mariana Medina has been a Pomona local since the age of 3 and a Sophomore at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Apparel Merchandising and Management for Fashion Retailing. She began interning at the dA for their Theatre Summer Camp, where she helped with set and costume designs. Mariana shares a passion for fashion, especially the aspects behind the production and styling side of the fashion industry.
Sounds of Pomona: The Sounds of Pomona are a native Pomona garage band that are jamming out to the music they grew up listening to from the 60’s and dreamed of getting the band back together. Sounds of Pomona consists of band members: Rudy Carrasco (Founder, Percussions, Vocals), Fernando Larez (Music Director, Keyboards, Lead Vocals), Steve Ahmad's (Background Vocals), Bobby Cardiel- (Background Vocals), Charlie Gutierrez (Drums), Zeke Mendivil (Guitar, Vocals), Ernie Padilla (Drums), Lawrence Perez (Lead Guitar), and Ernie Quiroga (Bass Guitar). Come take a blast from the past and rock out to the songs you know and love from the grooviest decade!
Abigail Joran: Abigail Joran is an alternative folk singer/songwriter based in Long Beach, California. She is influenced by great storytellers and bravely expressive women in music like Fiona Apple. Abigail’s music is experimental but folky, chaotic but heartfelt, and all in pursuit of a deeper understanding of the human experience. Timba Tumbao: Timba Tumbao has been warmly received wherever they perform, captivating audiences with their infectious energy. The band consists of a three piece dynamite horn section, spot on rhythm section and two of the hottest vocals in Southern California. Timba Tumbao consists of band members Rossely (Lead Vocals), Sergio (Congas), Juan (Lead Vocals), Pedro (Trumpet), Sergio (Trombone), Matthew (Alto Sax), Brian (Bass), Alejandro (Piano), and Ricardo (Timbales). If you love latin music that moves you, come get energized on the dance floor with Timba Tumbao!
Blush: Blush is a Pomona-based, jazz/rock fusion group, inspired by the high-frequency local punk scene of Pomona and the masterful library of jazz greats. The band consists of Matthew Gonzalez (Guitarist), Xavier Marrero-English (Guitarist), and David Quiroz (Drums).
