About this Event
Breathe new life into your old, unused, or unwanted T-shirts by transforming them into eco-friendly bags. Join us for a creative workshop, where you’ll learn two ways to upcycle T-shirts into practical accessories.
Session Highlights:
- Beach Bag Creation: Discover how to construct a beach bag using a no-sew method. This technique allows you to make a fairly durable bag to use for your library books, groceries or beach accessories.
- Inspired by Japanese Knot Bag Design: This session includes a hands-on tutorial where you will prepare your bag, and Celeste will provide sewing to complete the creation.
What You'll Need To Bring:
- Two T-shirts (preferably different colors or patterns for a unique look)
- A dose of patience and a curiosity for experimental DIY
The space will have materials for you to cut, draw, write, patch and hand sew if needed.
ps: we can transform stains into creatures, inscribe our favorite quotes, lyrics, or thoughts, and artfully patch up holes. Come experiment.
