75 years ago, Mark Field was born. He became the legend we know as Marc Bolan, sadly leaving us just before his 30th Birthday, 45 years ago!Long-time musical partner Mickey Finn and T. Rex drummer Paul Fenton decided to celebrate Marc’s life by keeping the band name going with The Music of Marc and Mickey. They performed almost right up until Mickey’s untimely death in 2003 and now, the name lives on with Paul joined by Yorkshire lad, guitarist and founding member of Saxon, Graham Oliver.
Jay Spargo is the front man in the band, performing Marc’s vocals with such energy, he feels it is a privilege and an honour to be performing Marc Bolan’s great songs worldwide. The guys have a full show planned incorporating all the hits and some lesser known tracks, on stage around 8:30pm, lasting until going up to 10pm.
Aladdinsane - Europe's finest Bowie Tribute. In the words of theatre goers across the UK, "Paul's vocals and theatrical movements reflect Bowie's with disturbing accuracy". Whether portraying the 70s era Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke or Bowie's 80s/90s songs in this totally live show, many who have seen this performance simply called it "Spot on".
Paul Henderson first caught national attention on 'ITV's Stars In Their Eyes' during the 90s. This notoriety saw him widely acknowledged as Europe's most credible Bowie look and sound-a-like and began the evolution of Aladdinsane to the best Bowie Tribute going.
Aladdinsane entertain the audience with a string of hit singles from the golden years of the legendary David Bowie including Space Oddity, Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Fame, Rebel Rebel, Starman, Heroes, Life On Mars, Jean Genie, Let’s Dance, China Girl, Ashes To Ashes, Fashion, Drive In Saturday, Diamond Dogs and many more including classic album tracks. All of the highest standard due to the excellent musicianship of the band.
This is one heck of a night, packed with music of the legends with live music going on until almost Midnight and if all that wasn’t enough, DJ Mutant Movement will keep you dancing until 1am with music from all eras these two greats were performing.
