T-1 Today UK Conference 2022

T-1 Today UK presents its annual conference for individuals and families living with diabetes. The weekend is sure to be filled with fun and laughter, some tears and frustrations, education, exciting challenges and cutting edge information.  Join our group of world-renowned clinicians, researchers, consultants and guest speakers who live with T1 diabetes.  Attend educational sessions, participate in group discussions, share your story and help to support and motivate others who are on the same journey as you.  Watch children of all ages become "Friends for Life" and see their excited faces as their bonds develop.  From toddlers to grandparents, from those new to the T1 world to those more experienced, from laypeople to the medical professionals, we will all join together and make new and lifelong friendships.  This is a conference you will never forget and one you will want to come back to again and again and again.

We are delighted to be able to be back to holding an "in-person" Conference after the previous two being Virtual.

Registration Line Opening times:-

Saturday 14th May at 8am – Saturday 21st May at 11am – First Timers only, including those who were Virtual First Timers in 2020 and 2021

Saturday 21st May at 12 noon - Everyone, including First Timers who missed initial registration

Who can attend:-

• Children with Type 1 diabetes and their families
• Adults (aged 18+) with diabetes and their significant others/families
• Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers
• Medical Professionals.

Youth Groups:- Children must be registered as their actual age as at 27th October 2022 and cannot be moved up or down to be with other family members/friends - each group’s programme is age specific:-

• Childcare 0-3 years
• Reception 4-5 years
• Elementary 6-9 years
• Tweens 10-12 years
• Teens 13-17 years

Everyone attending the Conference MUST register, it is not just our T1 heroes who require to do so. When completing each registration form, please register the adults first before the children and answer the questions in relation to each person being registered, please do not include information about your T1 on any registration form except their own. Every question requires an answer to register each person. If you have omitted to answer a question, it will not allow you to proceed with your booking.

Registration fees & what they include:-

£95 pp aged 6 and above

£45 pp aged 2-5 years

FOC for ages 0-23 months

• Youth Group Icebreakers (ages 4-17 years) on Thursday evening during first parent/adult session with Brian Kennon, our Medical Advisor, and our sponsors on updates in technology
• Reception thereafter in Exhibition Hall
• All adult sessions Friday-Sunday, including a full programme for T1 Young Adults/Adults (18+) & their Significant Others
• Full Youth Programme for Childcare, Reception, Elementary, Tweens, and Teens Friday-Sunday (Teens offsite on Saturday to Action Glen, Crieff Hydro)
• Dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• All snacks between sessions
• Lunch Friday, Saturday and "The Farewell Lunch" on Sunday
• Movie Night on Friday night, early viewing for younger children and families, later viewing for teens and adults
• Family Party on Saturday night

Registration fees are for the Conference only: hotel accommodation is NOT included.

Registration Fee Refunds :-

Available until 15th September 2022, thereafter only available if there is a waiting list. Please note that there is a cancellation fee of £15 per person. T-1 Today UK is not only subsidising each registration fee, but also covering the booking fee per registered place.

Thursday 27th October

• Conference Registration Desk open 10 am - 7 pm
• Focus Groups hosted by our Platinum Sponsors (more information to follow)
• Exhibition Hall opens at 3 pm - visit our Sponsors and Exhibitors booths
• First session (18+) Brian Kennon, our Medical Advisor with the Sponsors on technology updates
• Youth Icebreakers, aged 4-17 years, at 7.30 pm
• Reception in the Exhibition Hall with our Sponsors and meet Conference Faculty at 8.30 pm

Friday 28th & Saturday 29th October

• Registration Desk open both days - 9 am-5 pm
• Exhibition Hall open both days
• 4 sessions both days for all delegates, including Opening Keynote (Friday), and a choice of 3 breakout rooms thereafter
• Full Youth Programme (0-17 years)
• Movie Night (Friday)
• Teen Offsite Trip to Action Glen to partake in Aloft! and Woodland Combat (Saturday)
• Family Party (Saturday)

Sunday 30th October

• Registration Desk open 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
• Exhibition Hall open until 11.30 am
• 2 sessions for all adults, including Closing Keynote
• Full Youth Programme (0-17 years)
• "Farewell Lunch"

• 75% chargeable if cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival

Scholarship Fund:- We have a limited fund of financial aid available for first timers. Applicants cannot have attended a live in-person conference previously (virtual 2020 and 2021 conferences excluded). Please email [email protected] for more information from 16th May.
